Veggies By The Sea
Veggies By The Sea is an emerging small family farm enterprise, started as an outgrowth of homeschooling by a mom and two of our three sons. We grow all our own produce using sustainable farming practices while considering the merits of transitioning to organic production. We believe in building the soil to feed our bodies and souls, working to provide wholesome and pure foods to our valued customers as we seek to sustain our own health through eating good food. Spring 2010 finds us growing in the Cousins Gardens, the Charity Garden and the Hill Garden. These areas give us access to different kinds of soil, as we keep working to understand crop rotation, using a steel tractor (hoes!) to cultivate, and companion planting to keep the pests away while we wait for the rains to subside.
