About this Facility
VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is an integrated health care delivery system, offering a comprehensive array of medical, surgical, rehabilitative, mental health and extended care to veterans in Northern California. The health system is comprised of a medical center in Sacramento; a rehabilitation and extended care facility in Martinez, and seven outpatient clinics.
VANCHCS has two divisions, each with an Associate Director. The Sacramento Valley Division is comprised of medical facilities in Sacramento, Chico and Redding. The East Bay Division is comprised of medical facilities in Fairfield, Vallejo, Martinez and Oakland.
VANCHCS serves an area covering 17 counties, more than 40,000 square miles and over 377,700 veterans.
Counties: Alameda (partial), Amador, Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado (partial), Glenn, Placer (partial), Sacramento, Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo and Yuba.
Congressional Districts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13.
As part of the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21), VANCHCS provides veterans access to an extensive range of health and specialty services. VISN 21 includes VA medical centers in San Francisco, Palo Alto and Fresno, California; Reno, Nevada, and medical facilities in Hawaii, Guam and Manila.
