Mission Statement :

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6899 is dedicated to our motto:"We honor the dead by helping the living". We are committed to helping our fellow comrades and we actively participate in the communities that surround our Post Home.

Our VFW Post has approximately 250 members and the Ladies Auxiliary has 140. We are extremely proud of our community service record in Trinity County, Texas.

The members of our Post and Ladies Auxiliary have strived to build on four principles:

Service to our veterans.
Service to our youth.
Service to our community.
Promote patriotism.

Each of these principles represents what our Post has aimed to do, to give back to the community in which we live and help the veterans that have given so much to defend our great country. In doing this, we remember our comrades who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms. Also, we will never forget our POW/MIA's.
