First settled in 1771, the Village of Ballston Spa incorporated in 1807. Today, it is is a charming historic village with a friendly, hometown atmosphere, destination shopping and eateries, and a visible sense of community.

For those of us who live in the Village, downtown is less than a five minute walk - which brings us to the downtown business district. Stroll along and visit your favorite cafe or restaurant, the library or post office, or sit in the Wiswall Park or along Front street and people-watch. This is a different way of doing things from getting into your car and heading out to the mall. If you're looking for family activities, take the kids to the Village municipal pool or to Kelley Park on Ralph Street to enjoy the expansive and popular playground.
