Our Core Beliefs
We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible, inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the Holy Scriptures were written by holy men being inspired by God Himself. We believe that the bible should be taken as a literal text, the way God had intended it. We also believe that the King James Bible is the only true and accurate English translation of the scriptures and the only version used at WSBC. We believe also that the Bible is a completed work as indicated in the Book of Revelations.
Obtaining Salvation
We believe the way to Heaven is through our Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6). The way to Salvation is by repentance. You must confess you are a sinner, accept Jesus Christ into your heart, and then you are born again. We believe
that salvation is a free grace gift from God. This gift is by personal repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This gift is for all (Rom. 10:13); it is by grace plus nothing minus nothing.
Baptism of The Holy Spirit
We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit happens at the point of salvation (when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ through repentance). The Baptism of the Holy Spirit doesn't come after spiritual maturity but at the point when you surrender you life to God. We believe in the Ministry of the Holy Spirit; that He convicts the sinner; regenerates the one who believes; indwells, seals, instructs, and guides the every life that is wholly yielded to Him.
Baptism
We believe that Baptism is by immersion only. The Greek word "baptizo" (bap-tid'-zo) is translated "immersing" the whole body in water, and this is done to none but believers. We also believe that Baptism is a outward
expression of your salvation to the world. It is not the way to obtain salvation but a outward expression of that which you have already received.
Church Attendance and Daily Devotion
We believe in the assembly of believers in regular church attendance. Fellowship is critical to being spiritually healthy and the disciples taught us that in the New Testament Scriptures (1 John 1:7). Daily devotions is the
way to truly understand what God has in store for us. 2 Tim. 2:15 says, "study to show thyself approved...", Church attendance and daily devotions is key to keeping yourself on the right road with God. After receiving Salvation please seek out a fundamental, bible believing church.
