About Us:

Watkins Glen Central School District surrounds the tip of Seneca Lake in the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes region. The district serves the Village of Watkins Glen (population 2,550) as well as numerous rural hamlets located nearby in Schuyler County.  There are several major employers, cultural activities and some of the nations’s best colleges within easy commuting range.  Housing is available at a modest cost, averaging $65,000. Lakefront property also is available. A modern, well-equipped hospital is located in nearby Montour Falls, with other health care facilities easily accessible.  Tourism abounds, thanks to a number of small wineries, the world-famous Watkins Glen Gorge and Watkins Glen International Raceway.  The area is also noted for recreational activities, including boating, skiing, hunting, fishing and hiking.
