The Park and Recreation Board shall maintain, operate and supervise the public parks, play-fields and all public recreation facilities and areas indoor and outdoor, owned or controlled by said Board.

The Parks and Recreation Board will be formed as a volunteer organization to promote a cooperative effort by resolving to provide recreational facilities, services and programs for residents of the municipality, the purpose of this Board will be;

To provide a variety of recreation opportunities to all of the resident’s of the area.
To provide recreation opportunities to both sexes and all age groups, races and economic levels.
To fulfill emotional, physical, mental and social requirements of all of the participants.
To consider the needs and resources of the area in program planning.
To involve the public in planning, programming and leadership.
To provide quality leadership.
To provide adequate and safe facilities in accordance with accepted design standards.
To assure that planning for recreation is a cooperative process.
To achieve the coordination of recreation activities, facilities and programs between agencies.
To promote good conservation and environmental practices within the area.
To guide, instruct and install a personal code of conservation ethics throughout the area.
To continually evaluate the programs and facilities.
