October 2011, the USS Blazing Swords NCC-94946 merged with the West Shore Science Fiction Society. We are very active with members currently from the Harrisburg area, as well as, Lancaster and York Counties. The U.S.S. Blazing Swords started out as a Star Wars and Star Trek Fan Club and interests have expanded with increasing membership. WE are the MOST POPULAR & FASTEST GROWING group associated with Science Fiction & Gaming in the Susquehanna Valley! Some activities we have done includes cookouts, Superbowl Parties, Star Trek: the Experience, conventions(Baltimore area twice a year), holiday parties, historical excursions, museums, and much more. We also have an Independant Star Trek club called the USS Pennsylvania NCC-17120 which is for people in our society who are specifically interested in Star Trek. We are a group with diverse tastes and interests. We meet once a month, 3rd Saturday, at Jabronee's Pizza & Buffet, formerly Baiter's Pizza & Subs, 314 South 10th Street, Lemoyne, PA. We meet 6:30PM - 10:00PM-ish, where we watch DVDs(2 DVD players) and DirecTV shows that are voted on for the evenings viewing on FIVE 42" Flatscreens along with playing games(Board Games, Card Games, Role-Playing, Miniatures, Video games-XBox 360 & More) and general Sci-Fi discussions. Check us out! We normally have 10-20 people attend our get togethers, not including restaurant walk-ins.
