Willis-Knighton South opened in southwest Shreveport in 1982 as South Park Hospital, the first satellite hospital in the state. It provides critical, emergency and general medical care with a focus on women’s services at the adjacent Center for Women’s, which features the health system’s neonatal intensive care unit. Also at the Center for Women’s Health is the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit under the direction of an experienced board-certified pediatric critical care specialist. The unit at Willis-Knighton South offers patients and their parents a convenient suburban location with a full array of services for children. Also on campus are the Institute for Behavioral Medicine, WK South Wellness Center, WK Quick Care, WK Work Kare and numerous physician office buildings. The campus includes WK Canterbury Square which houses outpatient services like the WK Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center.
