About Us:
The Winchester Gun Club was started in the city of Winchester in the 1930's near the current location of Shenandoah University. In the early 1950's a group of local business leaders pooled their resources and purchased some land in Stephenson, VA and installed a couple of traps. Today The Winchester Gun Club encompasses just under 100 acres and now has 14 traps making it the largest Trap shooting facility in the state of Virginia. All 14 traps are equipped with Pat Trap's and Automatic Voice Release. The Winchester Gun Club holds at least 8 to 10 registered shoots per year plus it hosts the VA. State Shoot, the VA Hall of Fame Shoot, the Grand Old Dominion and the Southern Zone Shoot. All totaled The Winchester Gun Club throws well over 500,000 targets a year. With an air conditioned Club House, a full service kitchen, 66 camper hook-ups, 24 vendor hook-ups and a picture perfect background, we think it is the "finest" Trap shooting facility on the East Coast!
