About Us:

The Winterville Library is owned by the Town of Winterville. Winterville pays the Sheppard Memorial Library in Greenville to manage the Library and supply materials for it. The library is located in the downtown area of Winterville.
The collection includes materials for adults, young adults, and children. It consists of fiction and non-fiction books in regular and large print, recorded books, and videos. In addition to adult and juvenile reference books, there are computers with Internet access and with CD ROM encyclopedias. Word processing is available, as well as photocopying and fax services.

Local and out-of-town newspapers, as well as a variety of magazines, are available for use in the library. A public access computer contains the library catalog for all of Sheppard Memorial Library. Books requested from other branches are delivered to the Winterville branch for checkout.

A bulletin board is available to advertise community events and services. Public service announcements and pamphlets may be found in special racks; and from January through April, Federal and State tax forms and instructions are available.

Winterville Library has the books by best-selling authors, with a shorter waiting period for new books in demand. If you do not have a library card, it takes only a few minutes and an I.D. to have one made for you at no charge. This card may be used at any branch of Sheppard Library.
