The Winthrop School Council is a group of elected parents, teachers and community members whose mission is to work with the school principal to continuously improve student education. Regular meetings are held approximately once a month during the school year and are open to the public.
The purposes of the Winthrop School Council are:
to adopt educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
to identify the educational needs of students who attend the Winthrop School
to review the annual school building budget
to formulate a school improvement plan
to address any other pertinent issues
