The mission of the Woodstock Historical Society is:   

- To collect and preserve the evidence of the history of Central Windsor County, with particular attention to Woodstock and the surrounding communities;

- To provide leadership in local history education, especially in public schools, and opportunities for local history research;

- To serve as a resource center for local historical concerns;

- To provide a forum for public study and discussion of current issues which have a strong bearing on the history of the region.
