P. BUCKLEY MOSS DONATES QUILT SQUARE
TO GREENBUCS FOR DINNER AND LIVE AUCTION
Waynesville, OH— Artist P. Buckley Moss has donated a painted quilt square on fabric to GreeneBucs for a fund raising dinner to take place on Thursday October 23rd, 2014 at 6 p.m. The dinner with live and silent auctions will take place at Beaver Creek Golf Club at 2800 New Germany Trebein Road, Beavercreek, Ohio.
GreeneBucs is the Greene County Chapter of National AMBUCS™, Inc, a non-profit service organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities. GreeneBucs specializes in providing therapeutic tricycles through the Veteran Cycle Program and for children with mobility challenges. They are also successful in providing scholarships for therapists.
The quilt square donated by P. Buckley Moss is a painting on fabric that is
quilted by a volunteer and auctioned with the proceeds going to GreeneBucs.
This year’s quilt square has been quilted by local quilter Marian Gebele into a
wall hanging with the Moss square as the focal point. The Moss quilt square
features a number of robins singing from the artist’s iconic black trees in a
modernist style.
The P. Buckley Moss Society has donated the limited edition print of City
Blossoms with framing donated by Canada Goose Gallery of Waynesville.
The print and framing, valued at $1,125, will be raffled to benefit GreeneBucs.
The proceeds will be used to provide additional special trykes throughout the
state of Ohio.
The dinner is open to the public. Tickets are $50 and reservations are
required. Tickets can be purchased from the Canada Goose Gallery.
The public is encouraged to attend this charitable event.
