The Storyville Stompers, voted New Orleans' "Best Traditional Brass Band," is coming to New Jersey to help PocoNotes and WNTI celebrate Mardi Gras 2014 in true NOLA fashion! 

These musicians - and their Grand Master - have been invited to play at festivals across the country...and across the world and, at our invitation, these good friends of ours are coming to thank the students and faculty from Centenary College and Drew University who served, year after year, as disaster recovery volunteers with St. Bernard Project in New Orleans.  After having given so much of themselves in service to others whose lives were - and, in too many instances, remain - devastated by Hurricane Katrina, this is our way of bringing a NOLA "love" to them! 

It's only fitting that "The Last Great American Roadhouse" serve as the backdrop for these festivities...so we will see you at The Stanhope House on Sunday, February 23rd, for a show that will START early with a "Second Line" down Main Street...and, in all likelihood, END that way, too!

This is a bona fide "happening" that will add to the already-legendary history of this former private home, stagecoach stop, general store, post office, tavern, rooming house...and, according to some, brothel...and there is no one better than The Storyville Stompers, whose VERY name was inspired by New Orleans' own "storied" past, to do it!
