Amanda Geiter is a Physician Assistant practicing in the Burn Surgery Department at MUSC. Amanda has previous experience in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery and surgical/trauma critical care at a level one trauma center in Richmond, Virginia. She has dedicated her career to providing patient-centered medical care and support to patients and families during what is often the most traumatic and painful moments of their lives.
Amanda has been a nationally certified Physician Assistant since 2017. She has a Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She also has a Bachelors of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. Amanda is involved in multiple organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Amanda has recently transitioned to the burn surgery team at MUSC and plans to build on her current clinical interests with focus on burn management and resuscitation, wound healing, non-opiate methods of pain control, and injury prevention. She looks forward to serving Charleston and the surrounding communities.
