Bryan Lee Christensen, MD


Dr. Christensen provides a full range of orthopaedic services and care. He is Board Certified in orthopaedic surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Christensen attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and was an ROTC scholar. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD where he trained at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well as Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at a joint program between Texas Tech University and William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. He also trained at the St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Christensen served as a United States Army orthopaedic surgeon for 15 years, which included deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait, and served as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. After two years, he transferred to Moncrief Army Community Hospital in Columbia, SC where he served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as Chief of Surgery for 8 years. He received several Meritorious Service Medals as well as the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters during his distinguished military career.
