Courtney Bequette, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her medical training at the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
Courtney sees patients of all ages for preventative care, such as annual wellness exams, well-woman visits, and well-child checkups and vaccinations. She treats various illnesses and acute and chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma, obesity, depression and anxiety.
As a family nurse practitioner, Courtney enjoys taking extra time to get to know her patients and forming relationships with them throughout their lives. She treats her patients as individuals and focuses on caring for their entire body. Courtney empowers her patients through health education, mutual trust and respect. She appreciates having the opportunity to provide quality healthcare in her community and, through her efforts, help the community to become healthy and happy.
Courtney has worked as an operating room nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital for ten years in a variety of areas, including the liver and kidney transplant team. She also worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital as a nurse practitioner for the orthopedic trauma service. Courtney has been with BJC HealthCare since 2010 and is excited to provide care for Parkland Health Center, her new BJC home, close to home.
Courtney grew up in a military family, so she lived in many cities during her early years until settling in the Festus area. She now lives on a small farm near Bonne Terre with her own small family. Courtney is a huge animal lover. She enjoys hiking local state parks, gardening and visiting local events. She is also a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
