Dr. Chahoud graduated third in his class at Aleppo University School of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria and served internal medicine residencies both there and at Saint Louis University. Dr. Chahoud then completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, with advanced training in heart failure and transplantation at UAMS and Washington University in St. Louis. He served as an assistant professor of medicine, director of the noninvasive cardiology laboratory, and co-director of the heart failure and transplant program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for three years.
Dr. Chahoud is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. He cares for patients in the Medical Group's cardiology suite at Lake Saint Louis, which is dedicated exclusively to the special testing and care that heart patients require. The services in his office include various types of stress testing (nuclear stress tests, stress echos, regular treadmill stress tests), echocardiograms, and other services such as 24-hour Holter monitoring and 30-day event monitoring. He also performs invasive testing at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis, including cardiac catheterizations, hemodynamic studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Dr. Chahoud ‘s particular areas of interest include advanced heart failure, valvular heart disease, and heart disease during pregnancy.
