Gina Theisen, MSN, RN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a specialty in pulmonology. She received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs – Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Before joining SSM Health, Gina practiced as a family nurse practitioner at Douglas Family Medicine in Castle Rock, Colorado. She would develop and manage health care plans for each patient based on findings from initial, follow-up and episodic examinations. After assessing patients, Gina would treat and monitor patients with acute and chronic diseases while maintaining patient safety and delivering expert, compassionate care. She will provide care to patients age 18 years and older.
With her broad base of knowledge and experience, Gina knows that many conditions are interrelated within the pulmonary specialty. She dives deep into all aspects of a patient’s health to arrive at a comprehensive solution to a problem. Gina believes that compassion, respect and trust are the cornerstones for every patient and provider encounter.
