Rachel Chir, LPC
Rachel Chir, LPC, is a behavioral health therapist with AHN Behavioral Health Institute who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent mental health, LGBTQ+, trauma, medical complexity, and school-based therapy. She sees patients from ages 14 to 23, focusing on supporting teens and young adults as they transition into adulthood.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California University of Pennsylvania in California, Pennsylvania, and earned her Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her training includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and best practices for LGBTQ+ populations.
She currently provides outpatient therapy and intake assessments for AHN’s CHILL Project — a school-based behavioral health initiative. Rachel is proud to have partnered with several school districts to help serve students, staff, and families.
