Dr. Breckwoldt earned his medical degree from New York Medical College, where he graduated with honors (top 9% of the class). He completed his residency at the United States Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and served six years of active duty in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a master's degree in anatomy from New York Medical College. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Breckwoldt was in solo practice with Premier Internal Medicine. Dr. Breckwoldt has been practicing medicine for 25 years. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Breckwoldt is married with one child. In his spare time, his hobby is radio controlled model airplanes. He was also a prior musician as a bass player in a band throughout high school and college. Dr. Breckwoldt welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
