Ive been practicing clinical medicine for about 14 years. Years of practice help a clinician to have confidence in taking care of complicated medical conditions, understand the disease pattern for a geographic location, along with developing cultural competency in and adapting to diversity. I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages and helping them with acute and chronic care. My practice style is individual-orientated as I believe every person Im seeing is unique. It is important for patients to understand and participate in their health maintenance. Prevention is the key, and as a physician, it is not only prescribing medicine. Our job is to incorporate lifestyle modifications to patient care. While taking care of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, high lipid, obesity, mental health issues etc., I use an evidence-based approach to achieve the best level of health for my patients. I have a keen interest in offering office-based procedures in the primary care setting for the benefit of my patients. My previous experience in surgical specialty is helpful for that reason. I have a special interest in womens health as well as osteoporosis management and offer a number of procedures unique for this group of patients. I like to offer cosmetic procedures (dermal fillers) as this gives my patients the liberty of getting the service from their own personal physician. Also, I find my previous experience as an ophthalmologist is sometimes useful to my patient care. I believe it is important to listen to and respect my patients, and a great doctor/patient relationship is the key to making a difference. The appreciation I receive from my patients are my best rewards. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, gardening, good food, and spending a lot of time with my lovely family and friends.
