From: Albin Polasek Museum And Sculpture GardensCapen Open Anniversary
On October 3rd, we joyously celebrated the 8th Anniversary of Capen House, a milestone that marks the enduring charm and history of this beloved site. Today this venue is the host to weddings, holiday parties, business events and so much more. We love being a part of making beautiful memories. Did you know you can schedule a tour of Capen House and view the art that it houses? The images below are from our very first party!
Kimono Dressing Workshop
On October 17th, we immersed ourselves in the rich history of the traditional Yukata, or cotton kimono. The evening was made all the more special by our professional instructor, Satomi Hirano, who provided a fascinating presentation on the art of kimono dressing. Our sold-out crowd had the opportunity to experience the beauty of traditional kimono attire firsthand. A heartfelt thank you to Mary Fosky Photography for beautifully capturing this memorable evening.
Museum Member Reception
Our October 24th Member Reception was an absolute blast! We dived into our newest exhibit, accompanied by the enchanting performance by The Friends of Koto in our courtyard. A big shout-out to Arthurs Catering and Traditions Mobile Bartending for serving the most delightful refreshments. It was truly a night to remember.
