Featuring the masterful works of Winter Park resident, Karyn Plater, this exhibition explores the thousand-year-old technique of traditional Japanese embroidery, nihon shishu. Characterized by intricate traditional designs of silk and metallic threads, stitched onto the finest Japanese silk fabric, nihon shishu is considered one of the most beautiful and challenging forms of embroidery.
Origami Workshop
Join us this Thursday (September 21st) for an evening of fun and experience the art of paper folding. Instructors will guide participants through the step-by-step process of traditional Japanese origami techniques. With simple folds, you will learn to create unique pieces of paper art to take home with you. Only a few spots are available so get your tickets today!
