Basin Brew Fest has been proudly showcasing Louisiana Craft beer since our inaugural event in 2017. Our purpose is simple: give everyone who visits a little taste of what the bottom of The Boot has to offer in the craft beer world! With homebrewers and new breweries popping up across the state, we are continuing to expand our festival. While our purpose is to share some Southern flavor, our goal is to raise funds to complete renovations to a local jewel, our Historic Lawrence Park in the heart of Downtown Morgan City. With the playground complete, we still intend to restore the Historic band stand and the fountain in the center of the park with the hope of adding some fitness equipment near the tennis court. We have already chosen this year's 501c3 event partner to be Aviary Creature Rescue and Advocate + Rescue for Companion Animals, a new local animal rescue that is making waves with their work. Through our partnership, we help raise awareness for the rescue, our "designated driver" ticket sales go directly to them, we collect needed items in exchange for a free tap trailer beer and we invite them to bring adoptable animals in the hope some may find their forever families at the festival. Preserving history, building community, improving our quality of life, spreading awareness and having a good time is really what we're all about and by way of celebrating Louisiana's Craft Beer industry, we've found a way to do just that!
