Mission:
The Other Israel Film Festival, founded in 2007, is the only American film festival focused on both Israeli and Palestinian cinema. It presents film and television that take an in-depth look into Israeli and Palestinian societies, and champion marginalized voices within Israel.
Through films, panels, and events, Other Israel spotlights human stories and social issues that explore the relationship between history, culture, and identity.
Based in New York City and funded by founder Carole Zabar, the festival is committed to providing a platform for important conversations about this tumultuous region. With partner organizations, the festival aims to engage the community, deepen views, challenge perspectives, and drive communities to action.
