Since 1988, the Rotary Club of Branchburg has been involved in many community projects, some of which included working on the Enabling Garden, Historical Houses, Street cleaning, the Pedals for Progress, and recently with Hillsborough Rotary Fair. This year's project is called "Hunger Project!" and entails our Club, Rotaract and community members packing 20,000 bags of food. That equals 2000 hours of volunteer service to the Somerset community. Since there are approximately 30 members of our Club, this equals about 40 hours per person. Club members can accumulate volunteer hours for just about any volunteer activity. This includes regular club opportunities like ringing the bell for the Holiday Happiness Fund and leaf clean up. It can also include volunteer hours you give through your children or grandchildren's schools, your house of worship or many non-profits for which you may volunteer. So, to summarize...Join the membership? Make a difference in our community. It counts! Read to kids? It counts! Volunteer with a food bank? It counts! We leave it up to you - if you think it counts, it does!
